WELCOME TO THE FRONTIER

A foothold. Then the stars.

Seven founders have landed on a cold basalt world. Keep them breathing, build an industry, and follow the wreckage into orbit.

  1. Build something. Choose a structure on the left and click a clear tile. Crew reserve materials and walk to the work.
  2. Extract ore. Press 2 and select a copper-colored deposit. Crew mine, haul to cargo, and operate the refinery. Enable Production duties and inspect machines to choose continuous output, fixed batches or stock targets.
  3. Go upward. Select Relay K-07 and prepare an expedition. Haulers deliver service supplies, then the team walks to the shuttle. Liftoff checks readiness and the approach window. Once it arrives, designate satellite parts for extraction. Crew carry extracted material to the dock within the shuttle hold limit. Recall sends them walking back before liftoff.
  4. Harness the frontier. Build an advanced array with recovered components, or inspect the shuttle to install a cargo, shelter or drive fitting. Mine blue surface seams or visit the comet for ice and fuel; haul ice to a powered, staffed ice processor for water, or visit Helios Reach for charged power cells.
  5. Medical care. Build a medical cot in breathable shelter. Injured crew reserve cots; medics carry medicine and treat them there. Each dose treats up to 25 injury, followed by bed rest. A powered medical synthesizer makes medicine from food and water. Serious injuries slow walking; critical injuries need another crew member to carry the patient. Medicine duties include rescue and bedside food deliveries. Inspect crew for mobility and care status.

Walls and pressure doors must surround habitat floors to hold air. Life support needs power to recycle exhaled gas and delivered breathing mix to replace leaks. Automatic doors briefly vent when crew pass; seal a door to isolate a compartment. Use Gas view to trace tank → pump → pipe → vent routes. New gas tanks need delivered breathing mix. For cleanup, route extractor → pipe → pump → reservoir. Extractors collect carbon dioxide and smoke in filter mode, or room air in exhaust mode. Captured waste stays in the pipes; full storage stops collection. Reservoirs start empty. Pipes connect beneath walls; pumps, vents and extractors need power. Use Water view for supply tank → intake → pipe → pump → reservoir → outlet → consumer routes. Water intakes and outlets can also collect or release water on one adjacent floor tile. Wet cables can fault after a spill. Close a pipe valve to isolate a damaged segment, then order its repair from the inspector. Use the Power overlay to inspect wiring. A breaker connects only its two marked terminals and starts open. Select it to close the contact or enable wet-fault detection. External bypasses and batteries on its output side can keep a branch powered after it opens. Connect new equipment with cables from Build; cables fit beneath structures. Battery banks start empty and store energy only from their circuit. Crew need downtime and companionship. Inspect a crew member to adjust their work routine; build a common table in safe shelter for games and conversation. Equipment needs engineering service after 1,200 operating seconds; inspect a machine to enable automatic service. Debris forecasts mark the threatened tile 90 seconds before impact. Keep alloy available for repairs. Darkness lasts 80 seconds each cycle—expand your batteries before night. Outdoor crews use finite suit air; expeditions recall automatically at a safety threshold.
